While in Montreal this past weekend i manged to get in a lil sketching early one morning while the rest of the crew slept the night off. Architecture is not something i spend a lot of time drawing, and i was not in the best of conditions in terms or focus to be giving it my full attention. All in all though it was fun and a decent start; but the perspective is pretty off in a lot of areas. I probably should have taken a bit of time to think about how it was all going to unfold on the page. But being some what sleepy and what not from the day before i just dove in and let the line happen as they may…
I cant remember the name of this hotel but it was next to the holiday inn on Rue Sherbrooke or something like that. Not really the place you would immediately thing to sit down and sketch, but it was far from where i was staying and coffee was across the street, so thats where the magic was attempted.
this is also the last page in the moleskine replacement i got after loosing my last book. So now its back to the moleskine.
