the life of a page

start

Often i get startled by a blank page. In order to disarm it I vandalize it, making me care less about it. Easier to make a messed up page look better then it is to improve on a nice serene solid color. So throw ups and tags are in order.

finished-3Did some clean up/ surface prep with some mists of yellow, orange and red beltons. and started to sketch out some letters.

finished-2

.o7 Staedtler and White Molotow One4All marker.

finished-1

Went in with some brush and One4All ink. Below on the top left you can see i even broke out the old tooth brush for some good ole fashion stippling, i was being a bit cheap with the ink so its some one restrained. However its brought me to the conclusion in need an airbrush to add to the bredth of makrs one can make with Molotow Ink.

finished

I finally pushed a few areas back by doing some top misting with the belton cans. You can see it in the top hat of Ras Top-o-page, and the same for the edges of the checkers. def couls have done more of that kind of stuff with a airbrush.

My man DJ Slug AKA BarnMandigo aka Michael Gangelo asked me to do a quick sketch for his crew, The Operation.

so this is the first attempt, the ‘rat’ part looks pretty familiar. A nine letter word is a bit of an undertaking thats for sure.

Graffiti’s Story, From Vandalism to Art to Nostalgia

Friday, February 5th, 2010

Thanks to Saul Nofizaro aka Mr Saul Metnick, of blandscape.org Photographer extraordinaire for putting me onto this NY times story…

New York Times 20010-02-05

Mr. Felisbret, 46, chose the long way. Not that he is unused to fence-jumping. In the 1970s, that was one of his skills as a budding graffiti writer who stole into subway yards. Using the nom de graf DEAL, he was part of the Crazy Inside Artists, a legendary crew from East New York, Brooklyn. This time, though, instead of wielding a spray can, he pulled out a camera and took a quick snapshot of the artwork, done with the landlord’s permission.

Booger picked up cat poo

Sunday, January 24th, 2010

So Im in the living room, scanning this Ges sketch i did while on a rath block. And i hear, “Ewwwww, that’s gross!”, from the kitchen. This is what you get booger for being a psycho  cleaner.  Apparently Booger had just thrown out some old and dead flowers and thought she saw a flower remnant on the floor. So she bent over to scoop it up and as she grabbed it, it was warm and soft to the touch. NOT flower remnant at all, but a little loaf of Suzy poo. YEAH, that’s not surprising or horrifying first thin in the AM. Well next time maybe your zeal and zeal for clean will me mitigated by you’re memory of warm fresh cat leavings.
Why Suzy is having issues with finding her litter box is an entirely separate issue that needs to be dealt with, I’m googling the Cat whisperer and get this sorted STAT.

geser

Just a rough up with not a lo of finesse time involved, like a quick cut at super cuts, a cheap lil shape up t convey the gist.

  • The biggest issue is the spacing, the initial GES are nicely backed in traveling size, whilst the er at the end are a lil more spread ot and getting ahead of itself.

Completely underestimated how warm it would be on The Good Reverend Martin Luther the King Juniors’ Day. So i planned one a little quick jump off. As it turned out we were blessed with a beautiful day and not enough functioning supplies on hand to take full advantage. It wouldnt be disfunction junction with out stumbling into the new year.

But dont think its all sweet. Lamb today Lion tomorrow you can still count on defeat.

*** bunny kitty (by persue) was recycled from the wall…

Dear PETA:
