Urban Sketchers is a blog featuring the work of various on site sketchers around the world.
Urban Sketchers (USk) is a network of artists around the world who draw the cities where they live and travel to. We have this blog, which is by invitation, and a Flickr group where anyone can share their location drawings. USk was started by Seattle journalist and illustrator Gabriel Campanario.

Waiting for the crew to assemble I got chance to do a lil sketch sunday.

added some color, ended up feeling a bit like winter. Trying to work out the pavement while not having it take over the page.

Cute young gilr trying to catch some Z’ss on the way home from her day of whatever it was. Meanwhile back in the Moleskine its a struggle to color, the sheen on the paper is a fun little obstacle .

Crazy hair dude, Prisma color pencil, white guache
Its looking more and more like watercolor pencil and water brush are the more effective way to get a nice solid color coat on to the pages of these moleskin’s.
A nice like coat of pencil followed by a light wash will coat the surface and make it easier to then apply more color in richers shades.
